Request for Production of Documents
Desiree: We spoke a few moments ago and you requested I wait until you've had a chance to get some rest before talking about these matters. I was not calling to discuss anything - only to notify you. I shall reiterate, herein, what I stated on the telephone before you hung up on me (or perhaps we were disconnected). 1. Karapetian called me today to notify me that he is no longer your attorney of record and that you will be representing yourself henceforth. 2. Last week I sent Karapetian a request for production of documents regarding your claims on your Income and Expense Declaration. Because he was still your attorney of record at that time I presume he forwarded the requests to you. Unless you inform me otherwise I will presume you have received them. A Request for Production of Documents is a standard discovery request and you ARE required to respond and to provide the requested documents pursuant to the California Rules of Civil Procedure. For any documents you refuse to provide you are required to file a legitimate objection. Your responses are under oath. Therefore, I shall expect your cooperation in timely providing the requested documents. I thank you for your time and prompt attention to these matters. Sincerely, Fox
